The Grovedale is one of Geelong’s most flexible venues. Fully refurbished with brand-new function rooms, we have multiple spaces you can select for intimate events or blockbuster functions.

We have spaces that are ideal for family events, such as birthdays, engagements, weddings and anniversaries. And we also have function rooms that perfectly suited to hosting work functions, farewells or events like office Christmas parties. If your business needs to launch a product or host a corporate event, we have a room that could suit you. And we also have function areas suited to community groups looking to hold a presentation night or community forum.

Venue Options

Restaurant #1: Pioneer Kitchen

The cleverly designed restaurant is perfect for large family get-togethers and functions of all types. The generous layout is complemented by our appetizing menu, broad beverage selection and friendly customer service. If you are hosting the likes of a wedding or corporate events – this is the ideal venue.

Restaurant #2: The Terrace @ Pioneer Kitchen

This sunny venue comes with open-air louvre roof and is ideal for private functions. It has its own bar and is fully staffed. It has an iPod input, wireless microphone, two 55” LCD TV’s which can operate via DVD or laptop for your use. Everything you need to ensure your next event is a memorable one.

Restaurant #3: The Library @ Pioneer Kitchen

This secluded venue is ideal for private functions. Simply close the doors for complete privacy. This setting has its own bar and is fully staffed. It has an iPod input, wireless microphone, projector screen that can operate via DVD or laptop for your use. Everything you need to host a private and intimate affair.

Restaurant #1 + 2 + 3: Multi-Restaurant Option

Sometimes big is just not big enough. In this case our multi-restaurant option may be perfect for your event. We swing open the doors to The Terrace and The Library so your function uses all three spaces. It has been designed to unify as one beautiful space, which makes it perfect for a large soirée or corporate event.

Bar #1: The Juke – Garden Bar

Enjoy some of the best local live music in our open-air laneway-style garden bar. There is nothing like having one of our awesome craft beers on tap and a delicious meal while catching some rays with a room full of your nearest and dearest. This bar is perfect for functions for groups of up to 40 people.

Bar #2: The Members End – Sports Bar

With more big screen TVs than you can poke a stick at, our clubrooms have everything you need to immerse yourself in the game. It has two bars and is fully staffed. It comes with a wireless microphone and three 85” LCD TV’s which can be operated via DVD or USB. This venue is ideal for up to 250 people.
